The Old Post Office – the Place with Comfort and Character
Built initially of sea washed stones, was bought as derelict some 20 years ago by the present owners who are both teachers. Whilst retaining an old Victorian Character, the building has been extensively refurbished and central heating installed. Although there were some six bedrooms originally, only two were retained for letting with a further, smaller, bedroom made into a shower room and toilet for guests.

Old Post Office telephone 01253 811261 – Costs

Normally, a double room will cost from £40 per night for the room – including breakfast. This is room price note! Not per person. If the single bed in the double room is also occupied then prices for that will be related to the age of the occupant. For example, we would hardly expect to massive amount for a child occupying this room with parents.

If the twin room is booked as a double room, prices again range from £40 for the room. Single prices for the night are from £25 per person per night including breakfast.

Do expect
· Warmth and friendship
· A clean place full of interesting things to see
· A good full breakfast with variety or special requests or needs if you want it.
· Steps between rooms, upstairs and down – this place probably dates from Middle Ages!
· A large patio / picnic area at the rear, totally secluded and over-looking the countryside.
· ¾ of an acre of garden and orchard – bring a trowel!
· Masses of bird life – feathered variety.

Don’t Expect!
Tea making facilities in the rooms – we find it more friendly if you just ask!
T.V. in your room – this place is bed and breakfast not a hotel – although you can watch TV sometimes in the TV lounge or in the Pub right next door.
On suite facilities – The shower and toilet are a step away, just across the landing from both rooms, a bathroom is available if you prefer.
To smoke upstairs – for obvious reasons!
Any set time to be expected in or out at night, or any strict rules – your actions are your responsibility.
